Inter youngster Alessandro Ciari is set to join the youth system of Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 15-year-old attacking midfielder will make the switch to join the Austrian side on a three-year deal.
Ciari has been playing and training with Inter’s youth academy.
The 15-year-old has made appearances with the Nerazzurri’s Under-17 side so far.
Following in the footsteps former Inter youth academy player Wilfried Gnonto, who made the switch to FC Zurich as a youth player before breaking into the Italian senior national team and earning a transfer to Leeds United, Ciari will leave in search of a different path to develop.
Salzburg are considered to be one of the top clubs in European football in terms of their development of youth products.
The Nerazzurri faced the Austrian champions in a friendly match whilst on their training retreat in Malta last month.
