Former Inter midfielder Stephane Dalmat was a big fan of what he saw from his former team against Napoli yesterday evening.

Speaking in a video on his Instagram story, via FCInter1908, the Frenchman singled out Milan Skriniar and Federico Dimarco in particular for praise.

Inter needed top performances from all of their best players if they were going to have any hope of winning against league leaders Napoli.

That is exactly what the Nerazzurri got, with the team looking laden with quality from front to back and on both sides of the ball.

Apart from looking like a well-oiled machine as a unit, Inter needed quite a few moments of individual quality and experience to ensure that they took all three points away from their first match back in action.

Dalmat felt that a number of players deserved particular mention for their displays.

“Dzeko’s movement should be shown in training to youth team strikers as an example,” the Frenchman said.

“Then, after their goal, Inter played well, Skriniar was a monster in defense.”

Dalmat noted that “The team was united, the victory was deserved.”

“Inter with an in-form Lukaku will look lethal.”

“The ball in from Dimarco was perfect,” he added of the 25-year-old’s assist for Dzeko’s goal.

“Then, Onana made a perfect save.”

“Over the second half of the season, Inter must confirm what we saw yesterday,” Dalmat argued.

“If they keep going like this, by winning against the big teams, they could win the Scudetto.”
