Inter should have won with a more emphatic scoreline than 1-0 in their Serie A match against Napoli yesterday evenjing.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who argue that with the good chances that the Nerazzurri missed during the first half particularly, it could have been more.

Inter found the back of the net through an Edin Dzeko header in the second half of yesterday’s match against the league leaders.

Combined with the team’s excellent defensive display to maintain a clean sheet, this was enough to hand the Partenopei their first league defeat of the season, and bring the Nerazzurri three massive points.

The last ten or fifteen minutes were nervous ones for Inter, however, as they knew that just one goal from Napoli would be enough to undo all their good work.

It didn’t need to be this way, however, in the view of Tuttosport.

The newspaper takes the view that on the balance of chances created, this was not a narrow win for the Nerazzurri, who in fact decisively outplayed the league leaders over the ninety minutes.
