Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that Inter’s win over Napoli yesterday evening was a clear demonstration that coach Simone Inzaghi is at the level required for a Serie A title contender.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset via FCInter19089, Biasin praised the coach’s tactical approach and suggested that he has further proved his level with the win over the Partenopei.

Inzaghi had to get his tactics right if his team were to have any hope of handing Napoli their first win of the Serie A season, and that is exactly what the coach did.

The Nerazzurri were well-organized and compact all over the pitch to find the right balance between defending their clean sheet, and springing quick and ruthless attacks when the opportunity arose.

Inzaghi is not a coach who is universally to be considered to be at the top level in Italy.

However, as far as Biasin is concerned, the 46-year-old decisively proved that he can win the title against Napoli.

“We’ve been all too willing to criticize Inzaghi,” he said, “often with good reason, but today Inzaghi showed that he has clear ideas and that he can be successful at a team who aspire to win the title.”

“Darmian  came in for Dumfries and was perfect defensively, Acerbi was perfect, a player Inzaghi wanted and few others would have.”

Biasin noted that “Inter really looked like a team, thanks to the coach who didn’t do a single thing wrong, including the substitutions, and I congratulate him.”
