Inter striker Edin Dzeko would have no intention of accepting a contract extension offer it is at reduced wages compared to what he currently earns.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the 36-year-old is hoping for a new deal worth the €5.5 million net per season that he currently earns.

Dzeko would be happy to extend his deal with Inter, whilst the Nerazzurri are convinced by the Bosnian’s performances this season and have made clear that they would be willing to offer him a new deal.

However, the former Manchester City and Roma striker currently earns €5.5 million net per season.

Inter do not want to offer a deal of this size to a player Dzeko’s age.

However, the striker is hoping for a deal on around the same wages that he currently earns, and would be reluctant to accept an extension  at reduced terms.
