Inter striker Edin Dzeko is set to retain his spot in the Nerazzuri’s starting eleven for Saturday’s Serie A clash with Monza.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that Lautaro Martinez is somewhat more likely than Romelu Lukaku to start alongside the Bosnian.

It had been speculated that Lukaku and Martinez could be the duo to start in attack for Inter in this weekend’s Serie A clash with Monza.

However, Dzeko’s form in friendlies and his performance and goal against Napoli yesterday evening have made the former Roma and Manchester City striker virtually undroppable.

Accordingly, Sky reports, it is probable that the Bosnian will start against Monza.

Lukaku partnered Dzeko in yesterday’s match, whilst Martinez came off the bench, having only returned to training last Friday following the World Cup.

However, Sky reports, the Argentine would be the likelier of the two to start alongside Dzeko.
