Inter striker Edin Dzeko is keen to extend his contract, and the negotiations with the club should begin around the end of the January transfer window.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri already have the 36-year-old’s word that he would like to agree a new deal.

Dzeko turns 37 in March and his current contract with Inter runs out at the end of March.

However, the former Roma and Manchester City striker is showing no sign of slowing down.

Accordingly, there is no question that the Nerazzurri are keen to agree a new deal with him.

For his part, Dzeko would like to stay past the end of the season, and has told the club as much.

Talks are yet to seriously begin to iron out the details of an extension for the Bosnian, but they should towards the end of the current month according to Sky.
