Young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian looks as though he will be playing in Serie A next season, and could be included in Inter’s offer to Atalanta for defender Giorgio Scalvini.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 19-year-old’s form on loan with Reggina makes it all but certain that he will be playing his football in the top flight next season.

Fabbian joined Reggina on loan during the summer to get his first taste of senior professional football.

The 19-year-old went on loan to Serie B rather than making the step up straight to the top flight from playing with the Primavera team.

However, the midfielder’s performances for Reggina have proven that he is ready for Serie A already, according to the Gazzetta.

The 19-year-old’s outstanding performances have been a key piece of the Calabrian’s push for promotion.

Accordingly, Fabbian could well be playing for the same team next season but a division higher.

Alternatively, the Gazzetta reports, the 19-year-old could make the move to Atalanta

La Dea are big admirers of Fabbian, and the midfielder could be included in a cash-plus-player offer from Inter for defender Scalvini, a major target in defense for the Nerazzurri.
