It is looking more and more probable that Inter could sign Francesco Acerbi permanently from Lazio if he keeps playing as he did against Napoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that performances from the 34-year-old like the one he put in against the Partenopei could convince the Nerazzurri to make his loan move permanent.

Inter have yet to make a decision on whether to sign Acerbi on a permanent basis at the end of his one-season loan move from Lazio.

It has always looked likely that the Nerazzurri’s decisions would depend on how the Biancocelesti-owned keeper performs over the season.

So far the 34-year-old has hardly let the team down.

Acerbi has started a number of matches and his displays have generally been to a consistently high standard, as exemplified by his solid defensive performance to keep Napoli striker Victor Osimhen quiet on Wednesday.

Accordingly, Tuttosport report, the Nerazzurri could be getting closer to thinking about signing him permanently at the end of the season.
