Former Inter midfielder Stephane Dalmat believes that for the moment, Inter’s starting pair in attack should be Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez.
Speaking to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, the Frenchman gave the view that the Bosnian and the Argentine should be the two starters based on their current form.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi always has a decision to make regarding to start in attack, given that the coach has four senior forwards to choose from.
Against Napoli in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A win on Wednesday, the coach went with Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku, and the Bosnian certainly repaid the coach’s faith by keeping his fine form up and scoring a goal.
In the view of Dalmat, the 36-year-old should keep being included in the starting eleven.
However, the former midfielder believes that it should be Martinez rather than Lukaku who starts alongside him.
“Even though I’m a fan of Lukaku, right now I think that Dzeko and Lautaro are the two players who are most in form,” he said.
“There are still a lot of matches to come, and everyone will get their chance,” he added.
