Inter are ready to hold out for €60 million for wingback Denzel Dumfries amidst growing interest from Premier League club Chelsea.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Netherlands international is in demand from the Blues as they seek a new right-sided defender, and Inter could be ready to cash in this season.

However, directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have taken advantage of Dumfries’ impressive World Cup campaign in Qatar in November and December to set his price at €60m, and see him as the player best placed to be sacrificed in order to balance the books before 30 June.

Dumfries shone for the Netherlands as they reached the quarter-finals and his performances have strengthened Chelsea’s resolve to bring the 26-year-old to England in the summer.

The wingback joined Inter from PSV Eindhoven in 2021 and has scored seven goals in 66 appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri.
