Liverpool are yet to make contact with Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar, as they consider a move for him in the transfer window.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sport Mediaset, and as reported by L’Interista.it, the Premier League club have not yet approached Skriniar or his agent, despite the Slovakia international seemingly set to leave Inter at the end of his contract.

The 27-year-old has entered the final six months of his existing deal and Inter are still waiting for a response after proposing an extension to him, but if this were to be rejected he would become available as a free agent in the summer.

Liverpool are in the market for a new centre-back and have joined a growing list of suitors for Skriniar, but little progress has been made so far.

However, it is expected that the Reds will increase their efforts to persuade Skriniar to make the switch to Anfield over the coming weeks, particularly once the defender has made his intentions to Inter clear on whether he wishes to remain.
