Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will opt to retain striker Edin Dzeko in his starting line-up for this evening’s Serie A clash against Monza.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri will take to the pitch at the U-Power Stadium with Dzeko partnering Romelu Lukaku in attack, whilst Lautaro Martinez will be on the bench.

Dzeko netted the only goal in Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Napoli but suffered cramp after the game, putting his place in doubt.

However, it appears that he has recovered in time to hold off the threat of Martinez and will keep his place in the team.

Elsewhere, Netherlands international Stefan De Vrij is set to come into the heart of the defence in place of Francesco Acerbi, and will join Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni as one of three centre-backs.

Andre Onana will start as goalkeeper, whilst Denzel Dumfries returns as right wingback to replace Matteo Darmian, and Federico Dimarco retains his place on the opposite flank.

The midfield will be made up of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, behind Dzeko and Lukaku.
