Inter are optimistic that midfielders Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu will quickly recover from the muscular fatigue symptoms that appeared during the team’s clash with Monza on Saturday.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that today’s training session will be decisive in determining whether or not the pair can make quick returns.
Both Barella and Calhanoglu had to come off as substitutes during the second half of Inter’s clash with Monza over the weekend, clearly indicating that they were feeling some muscular fatigue.
In neither case was there a serious injury, but both seemed to feel enough of a problem as to be unable to play a further part in the match.
There hasn’t been too much worry about the problems, but today’s training session should make clear one way or the other whether they can quickly get back to action.
In any event, neither Barella not Calhanoglu would have been expected to start in the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia clash with Parma in midweek anyway.
