Inter will keep defender Milan Skriniar until the end of the season regardless of whether or not he extends his contract past the end of June.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri would have absolutely no intention of selling the Slovakian in January even if he does not decide to agree a new deal.

Inter are waiting for Skriniar’s response to their contract extension offer, with their proposal now having been on the table for some time.

The club expect that the defender’s response will arrive within the next week or two, and will base their future plans for the defense on whether or not he decides to accept their offer.

However, one way or another Inter plan to keep Skriniar until the end of the current season.

The Slovakian will not be sold during the January transfer window, and would instead leave on a free transfer if he does not extend his deal.
