Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is set to miss the team’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen match against Parma on Wednesday due to inflammation in his left knee.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Ginaluca Di Marzio, via PazzaDiFanta.com, who reports that the Belgian will be sidelined by some inflammation to his tendon following the Nerazzurri’s Serie A match with Monza over the weekend.

Lukaku played as a substitute in Saturday’s 2-2 Serie A draw with Monza, coming on during the second half of the match.

The Belgian looked to be struggling at times, and reports after the match suggested that there had been a fitness problem which he had been dealing with.

Di Marzio confirms that Lukaku has been carrying a knock, specifically inflammation to his left knee, and reports that the 29-year-old will also have to miss out on this week’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen tie against Parma.
