Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin believes that the reports linking Inter with an interest in Torino defender Perr Schuurs are true, but that the Dutchman is not seen as a like-for-like replacement for Perr Schuurs.

Tweeting about the transfer rumours, the journalist explained what he understands of the situation, reporting that one way or another the possible pursuit of Schuurs is not intrinsically linked to the possibility of losing Skriniar.

Schuurs has emerged as the latest possible target for Inter in defense.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with a number of names to possibly reinforce their backline, and reports have suggested that the 23-year-old former Ajax player is seen as having an ideal balance between quality and affordability.

The reports have suggested that Schuurs is seen as a possible replacement in the event that Skriniar does not extend his contract, although in truth the uncertain future of the Slovakian is far from the only reason that the Nerazzurri are looking to sign defenders.

Biasin tweeted that “I can confirm that Schuurs is a target for Inter, but he is not seen as a like-for-like positional replacement for Skriniar.

“As far as Skriniar, the meeting to get his response is scheduled for the coming days, although what this means could still be anywhere from tomorrow to eternity.”
