Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is hoping that he can make his return to full training in the next couple days so that he can be fit to play in the Supercoppa Italiana match against AC Milan next week.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 30-year-old is aiming to play some minutes against Hellas Verona over the weekend in preparation for the clash with the Rossoneri.

Brozovic has missed Inter’s past two Serie A matches with a calf problem, and will also be out for this evening’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen clash with Parma.

The Croat should not be out for that much longer, although the exact timeline is not yet clear and could be decisive for whether or not he is fit to play in the Supercoppa match.

Brozovic’s aim is to be back in full training with the rest of the squad within the next couple of days.

The 30-year-old would like to make an appearance off the bench against Verona on Saturday, so that he has some minutes ahead leading into the match against Milan next Wednesday.
