Inter are interested in signing Torino defender Perr Schuurs, but their real top target in defense is young Atalanta player Giorgio Scalvini.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that whilst the Nerazzurri have made initial contacts regarding Schuurs, they would in fact consider Scalvini to be the ideal target in defense.

Schuurs has been a name linked with Inter in the past couple of days, as the Granata defender is reportedly lined up as one of the possible targets to replace Stefan de Vrij should the former Lazio defender leave on a free transfer in the summer.

According to Calciomercato, it is true that Inter are interested in Schuurs, as the 23-year-old’s form in his first season in Serie A has impressed them.

The Nerazzurri have already contacted Torino about the possibility of a transfer for the Dutchman.

However, Scalvini remains the dream target in defense for the Nerazzurri if de Vrij or Milan Skriniar, albeit he would be an ambitious target given the steep asking price of La Dea.
