Torino are on the lookout for a new wingback signing following a serious knee injury to Inter-owned wingback Valentino Lazaro.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper La Stampa, via FCInterNews, who report that an MCL injury to the Austrian as forced the Granata to rethink their plans in wide areas.

Lazaro had been impressing for Torino over the first half of the season, so much so that the Piedmontese club had been reportedly ready to try and sign the 26-year-old on a permanent basis from Inter.

However, the former Hertha Berlin wingback has picked up an MCL problem which looks likely to sideline him for at least three months.

Accordingly, Torino are looking for a new signing the reinforce at wingback.

According to La Stampa, the Granata’s first-choice target would be Celtic’s Josip Juranovic, although Hellas Verona wingback Darko Lazovic could be a more realistic option.

Given this, Lazaro’s future looks very much up in the air once again.
