Inter could decide to try and sell wingback Denzel Dumfries this month rather than wait until the summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri could look to cash in whilst big offers are still on the way from the Premier League rather than risk having to drop the asking price should his form continue to decline.
Right now, Inter are optimistically valuing Dumfries at around €60 million, whilst according to Tuttosport they would certainly also listen to offers of €50 million or even €45 million.
All of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are very interested in the former PSV wingback, so the interest could generate a bidding war to get the fee close to where the Nerazzurri want.
However, things could change if Dumfries keeps playing the way he has done in the first few matches back from the World Cup break.
The 26-year-old has looked plainly out of form as fitness issues have continued to affect him.
Faced with the possibility of the wingback’s value declining after six more months playing at the same level, the Nerazzurri could decide to cash in now rather than wait.
