Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is the likeliest of the Inter players currently out injured to be fully fit in time to start for the Nerazzurri against Hellas Verona on Saturday.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908, who report that the Turk is ahead of the likes of Nicolo Barella, Romelu Lukaku, and Marcelo Brozovic to start against the Gialloblu in Serie A.

Calhanoglu and Barella both came off as substitutes during the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Monza last Saturday.

The status of both of the pair for this weekend’s match against Verona has been in doubt, with both missing Tuesday’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen match against Parma and both assessed by the club’s medical staff.

Meanwhile, Brozovic continues to recover from a calf problem that has ruled him out of all the team’s matches back from the World Cup break so far, and Lukaku is dealing with a knee problem.

According to Sky, out of the four, Calhanoglu is the one who looks likeliest to be fully fit and available for Saturday’s match against Verona based on how the past couple days have gone.
