Inter are ready to offer striker Edin Dzeko a contract extension worth €3 million net plus add-ons, whilst the Bosnian is hoping for a deal worth €4 million net per season plus add-ons.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that both parties want to agree a new contract but that there is still some distance to be negotiated as far as wages.

Dzeko would like to extend his contract with Inter past the end of the current season despite transfer offers coming in from Galatasaray as well as clubs in MLS.

Meanwhile, on the Nerazzurri’s part there is little doubt that the club want to keep hold of the former Roma and Manchester City striker past the end of the season, given that he is their top scorer so far this time around.

However, there is some distance as far as the initial offer and the demand in terms of wages, so the club and player will have to try and negotiate terms that both are happy with.
