There is no shortage of transfer interest in Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries, but his form could mean that the Nerazzurri struggle to get their full asking price for him.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the likes of Chelsea and Bayern Munich are very keen on the 26-year-old’s signature but that his current bad form means that they are not necessarily valuing him at what Inter are.
Inter have been hoping that Dumfries’s performances with the Netherlands at the World Cup would see his price tag rice precipitously.
If the Nerazzurri are to cash in on the Dutchman, they would obviously like for it to be at a fee high enough to get them to their financial targets of a net profit in the transfer market.
Right now, however, the former PSV wingback looks out of sorts on the pitch, with his fitness still not at its best after his return from the World Cup.
Inter are hoping that Dumfries can find his best form again, and not just because of what he can contribute in their season on the pitch.
If the Dutchman does not start to show his quality on a regular basis, it could become difficult for the Nerazzurri to collect a sizable fee for the Dutchman.
