Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini and Lyon’s Castello Lukeba are two of the top names on Inter’s list of possible signings to reinforce their backline in the summer transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair have emerged as major targets as the Nerazzurri consider their strategy for the defense for next season.

All of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, and Danilo D’Ambrosio see their current Inter contracts run out at the end of the current season, whilst Francesco Acerbi’s loan from Lazio is only until the end of the campaign, with no certainty that he will be signed permanently.

Accordingly, there looks to be a high probability that the Nerazzurri will be filling at least one or two vacancies in the back three during the summer transfer window.

According to Le Repubblica, as the club start to firm up their plan to sign defenders in the summer, Scalvini and Lukeba are two of the players they are most keen on.
