Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping to have striker Romelu Lukaku back fully fit and available for next Wednesday’s Supercoppa Italiana match against AC Milan.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the coach is hoping that the 29-year-old can fully recover from his knee problem and be ready to play at his best against the Rossoneri.

Lukaku missed out on Tuesday’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen clash with Parma through a knee problem, and also looks set to miss out on tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona as his recovery continues.

The Belgian should in all likelihood be fit in time to play against the Rossoneri on Wednesday, whether from the start or off the bench.

From his coach’s perspective, Inzaghi wants to see Lukaku not just able to take the pitch, but actually make an impact in an important match for the first time this season.
