Inter have given Milan Skriniar have given defender Milan Skriniar more time to consider their contract extension offer.
This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have communicated to the 27-year-old that he can give his response to their offer when he is ready to, although they are hopeful that it is before the end of January.
Christmas came and went without a response from Skriniar to Inter’s by then longstanding contract extension offer, as did the turn of the year, meaning that the Nerazzurri’s hope that they would receive the player’s response before the World Cup break ended did not come to pass.
According to La Repubblica, Inter did not hear from the Slovakian’s representatives during that time, although Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta communicated that the player may take more time.
Now, it is Inter who are waiting for Skriniar and his representatives to finally deliver a decisive response, although they are not clear on exactly when this will arrive.
