Inter have already begun contract extension talks with defender Danilo D’Ambrosio, but are not in any rush to agree a new deal.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the contract talks between the 34-year-old and the Nerazzurri are ongoing, but that there is no real timeline as the club are still not totally convinced about making a concrete offer of an extension.

D’Ambrosio is one of a number of players at Inter whose current contract runs out at the end of June.

Given that the former Torino defender is considered an experienced and reliable member of the squad as well as an important player in the dressing room, the Nerazzurri would be open to discussing a possible extension.

The 34-year-old is currently on a one-year contract extension which the Nerazzurri had triggered in the summer prior to the current season.

Inter could decide to offer D’Ambrosio a new deal, but right now they are still thinking about it, and not in any real hurry.
