Inter need a convincing performance and a win against Hellas Verona tomorrow evening, as they are essentially out of second chances and margin for error in Serie A.

This is the view in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who argue that only a decisive victory over the Gialloblu would be enough for Simone Inzaghi’s team to put a discouraging week behind them.

Everything had looked good for Inter after their victory over Napoli to come back from the winter break, but an uninspiring draw against Monza just a couple days later derailed nearly all of that momentum.

The Nerazzurri put in an equally discouraging performance against Parma in the Coppa Italia round of sixteen, even if they managed to make it through to the quarterfinals ahead of the Serie B team in extra time.

Now, Inter face relegation-threatened Verona in Serie A, and in the view of the Corriere, this is a match in which Inzaghi’s team have no real option except to win and show that they have shaken off whatever has been weighing them down in their last couple matches.
