Inter forward Joaquin Correa could start against Hellas Verona in tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash at the San Siro.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi could opt for the 28-year-old alongside Edin Dzeko in order to give Lautaro Martinez a rest ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana.

Martinez and Correa had started Tuesday’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen match against Parma in attack, and it was Martinez who went the distance and played 120 minutes including extra time.

Accordingly, coach Inzaghi could be thinking about giving the 25-year-old a rest to avoid overuse ahead of next Wednesday’s Coppa Italia clash with Milan, a match in which he will be expected to start.

If this is the case, then it would be Martinez’s compatriot Correa who starts in his place alongside Edin Dzeko to lead the Nerazzurri’s line.
