Midfielders Kristjan Asllani and Hakan Calhanoglu are set to start for Inter in tomorrow evening’s Serie A match against Hellas Verona.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that they will form the midfield trio alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and predict that Matteo Darmian will start on the right flank rather than Denzel Dumfries.

Asllani made what is a relatively rare start for him in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia clash with Parma, and the 20-year-old put in a consistent display.

Accordingly, the Albanian former Empoli midfielder is likely to retain his place in midfield, whilst Calhanoglu is fully recovered from the muscle problem he picked up against Monza and will start alongside him and Mkhitaryan.

Meanwhile, Darmian is favoured to start on the right over the out-of-form Dumfries.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted starting eleven for the clash is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Asllani, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.
