Both Kristjan Asllani and Roberto Gagliardini are set to retain their starting places in midfield in tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the pair will form the starting trio in the centre of the pitch alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan, just as they did in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen win over Parma.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi finds his options in midfield fairly limited, even if the likes of Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu will be fit for tomorrow’s match.
Whilst both of Barella and Calhanoglu may be recovered from muscle injuries, it is far from obvious that the coach will risk them from the start against Verona.
The Corriere predict that he will not, with their complete predicted eleven for the clash as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Gagliardini, Asllani, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Lautaro, Dzeko
