Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani warned that the Nerazzurri face a difficult opponent in Hellas Verona this evening, but that it was imperative to win.

Simone Inzaghi’s side welcome the relegation-threatened Gialloblu to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this evening, and victory would see them move to within a point of second-placed AC Milan in the Serie A table.

In an interview with the club’s inhouse television channel, Inter TV, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, Asllani offered his thoughts on the match after it was confirmed that he will start in midfield.

“They will be very dangerous because Verona are in good shape,” the Albania international claimed.

“We have to enter the pitch with the awareness to get the three points because we have lost several and it is very important to get points today.”

Asllani has been utilised in different roles across the midfield for Inter since arriving from Empoli in the summer, but felt that he was comfortable playing wherever Inzaghi needed him.

“It changes little, I always try to make myself available. I can do all the midfield roles let’s say, but mainly I’ve been a pivot in front of the defence.”

The 20-year-old also highlighted the importance of the entire squad in helping Inter challenge at the top of the table.

“Of course, it’s very fundamental, very important. We all participate, we all play and it’s important to stay focused,” he concluded.

Asllani has made 14 appearances for Inter in all competitions this season, including eight in Serie A, but is yet to find the back of the net for the club.
