Inter are set to hold the final and decisive round of contract extension talks with defender Milan Skriniar next week when the team return from the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have scheduled a meeting after the Supercoppa that they want to settle the negotiations once and for all.

Inter are still waiting for Skriniar’s response as the 27-year-old makes his considerations between loyalty to his current club and heading for a new challenge elsewhere, with Paris Saint-Germain always interested in signing him.

According to the Corriere della Sera, the Nerazzurri do not want the uncertainty in the negotiations to drag on past next week.

The team travel to Saudi Arabia ahead of their Supercoppa Italiana clash with AC Milan on Wednesday, and then shortly after they return a meeting will be held between Inter and Skriniar’s representatives.

The Nerazzurri will aim to finally get the Slovakian former Sampdoria defender’s final response to their offer of a new contract worth €6 million net per season plus add-ons in next week’s meeting, and not any later.
