Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has no plans of risking midfielder Nicolo Barella in the starting eleven for this evening’s Serie A match against Hellas Verona.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews, who report that the 25-year-old will be in the matchday squad but will start on the bench as he is still not at 100%.
Inzaghi has both Barella and fellow midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu back at his disposal for this evening’s match after the pair had both picked up minor muscle injuries one week ago against Monza.
In the case of Calhanoglu, the Turk should likely be fit enough to play from the start of this evening’s match.
In the case of Barella, however, whilst the 25-year-old is fully recovered from any injury, his match-fitness is not yet at a point where he is expected to be able to play from the start.
