AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will be hoping to have both Simon Kjaer and Ante Rebic fit for Wednesday evening’s Supercoppa Italiana match against Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Dane should be fit for this weekend’s clash with Lecce, whilst the Croat could be available for the match against Inter in midweek.

The Rossoneri are dealing with a number of injuries, and at least five players are set to miss out on Wednesday’s Supercoppa match.

All of Mike Maignan, Zlatan Ibrahimnovic, Rade Krunic, Fode Ballo-Toure, and Alessandro Florenzi will certainly be out as none of the quintet are set to recover in time.

However, Kjaer should be back which could be a boost for Pioli and the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, the fitness of Rebic is in doubt as the former Eintracht Frankfurt forward will not be in the squad for the match against Lecce, but there looks to be a good chance of his recovering in time to face Inter according to the Corriere.
