Barcelona have approached Inter with an offer to send midfielder Franck Kessie to the Nerazzurri on loan in exchange for Marcelo Brozovic.

According to Italian television broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, and as reported by FCInterNews.it, the La Liga club are not sold on former AC Milan star Kessie after swooping for him on a free transfer last summer, and are ready to send him back to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

They would like to bolster their midfield with Croatia international Brozovic and have offered Inter the chance to sign Kessie on loan in exchange.

However, Inter have not warmed to the idea and are reluctant to part with Brozovic, and there is little expectation that Barcelona’s proposal will take off this month.

Kessie established himself as a key player at Milan following a move from Atalanta in 2017 and scored 39 goals in 224 appearances for the Rossoneri, as well as winning the Serie A title with them last season.

He has struggled to impress for Barcelona this term though, having only featured eight times in La Liga.
