The lawyer of Barcelona striker Memphis Depay has made clear that there is no chance of the Dutchman joining Inter as part of any swap deal.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, Depay’s lawyer Sebastien Ledure categorically denied any transfer links between the 28-year-old and the Nerazzurri.

Depay’s name has been linked with Inter in the Spanish and Italian press over the past 24 hours or so.

Reports have emerged that the Nerazzurri and the Blaugranas are in talks over a possible swap deal involving the former Lyon, Manchester United, and PSV player.

Reports have suggested that Barcelona coach Xavi would have no interest in exchanging Depay for Nerazzurri forward Joaquin Correa, but that he could be willing to consider a swap for midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

As far as Depay’s lawyer Ledure is concerned, however, there is little substance to any of these transfer rumours around his client.

“There are no negotiations ongoing regarding a move for Depay to Inter,” the lawyer spoke plainly.

“I can deny these rumours, because this is not a possibility that we’re currently discussing,” he added.
