Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie has made moving to Inter his first choice over other clubs interested, and wants to see if the Nerazzurri will push to make a move happen.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported in a tweet that there are talks between Inter and Barcelona regarding a possible swap deal involving the Ivorian and Marcelo Brozovic.

Kessie has been a player on Inter’s radar for some time, and the 25-year-old’s uncertain status at Barcelona has caused the transfer links to reemerge in recent days.

The former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder has found playing time hard to come by since making the switch from the Rossoneri in the summer.

There are two clubs seriously interested in signing Kessie besides Inter, according to Pedulla.

However, the transfer market expert reports that for the player’s part, Kessie is prioritizing a possible return to Serie A to play for his former side’s city rivals over other options available.

In any event, a transfer of Kessie from Barcelona to Inter would look to depend on the Nerazzurri and the Blaugranas agreeing a swap deal, likely involving Brozovic going the other way.

Pedulla tweeted that “Right now Kessie wants to see what Inter’s decision is, they’re his priority. Talks with Barcelona over a swap deal with Barcelona remain ongoing.”
