Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic could be fit enough to start on the bench in the Nerazzurri’s Supercoppa Italiana match against AC Milan in midweek.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 30-year-old could be used as a substitute during the second half of the match based on his current fitness.

Brozovic was left out of the squad for Inter’s Serie A clash with Hellas Verona on Saturday evening, as the Croat was not fit enough to even play as a substitute in that match.

However, the 30-year-old is close to being ready to return to the squad, and according to the Gazzetta there is a good chance that he will be ready to start on the bench and be an option as a second half substitute against the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta also reports that striker Romelu Lukaku is close to ready for his return and will definitely be ready to be in the squad on Wednesday, and could appear from the bench.
