There is still a chance that midfielder Roberto Gagliardini could leave Inter during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old would still have a chance of departing six months before his contract with the Nerazzurri expires, even if it is unlikely.

Gagliardini made his feelings clear in his comments after Inter’s Serie A win over Hellas Verona over the weekend, where the former Atalanta midfielder spoke openly about being unhappy with the relatively small amount of playing time he has been receiving in recent seasons.

This does mean that it is virtually inevitable that the 28-year-old will leave when his current contract expires.

However, Gagliardini may even leave before then.

The window for this is starting to close at is now more than halfway through the January transfer window.

However, given that there is interest in Gagliardini’s signature within Serie A and the player is clearly keen to depart, there is still a chance.
