Chelsea have made an offer worth €35 million to sign Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries, but the Nerazzurri are holding out for €55-60 million for him.

This according to Italian news outlet Repubblica.it, who report that the Blues have made their initial offer to the Nerazzurri for the 26-year-old, but that their evaluation of the player remains far from the asking price.

Chelsea have already made Dumfries a target during the summer transfer window prior to the current season.

The London-based club have hardly lost their interest in signing the former PSV wingback, and could try to bring him in as early as during the January transfer window.

According to La Repubblica, the Blues have already launched their latest attempt to sign Dumfries, but only for a much lower fee than the Nerazzurri are requesting.

Repubblica report that at the fee that Chelsea have offered, there is little chance of the Nerazzurri accepting the terms of a deal.
