Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has made clear that as far as he is concerned, the supposed transfer links with Barcelona players Memphis Depay and Franck Kessie are entirely fabricated.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri executive rubbished the rumours that the Nerazzurri are in talks for possible swap deals with Barcelona involving those players.

Reports have emerged over the past couple days that Inter and Barcelona have been discussing possible player exchanges.

The rumours have suggested that the two clubs are considering either a swap of forwards Depay and Joaquin Correa, or midfielders Kessie and Marcelo Brozovic.

However, Inter CEO Marotta poured a lot of cold water on these rumours speaking to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo earlier today.

The Nerazzurri executive has gone further, implying that the rumours around possible swap deals with the Blaugranas are nothing more than a fabrication.

Asked by a reporter with Mediaset whether there is any substance to the transfer links, Marotta was as unequivocal as he was when speaking to Mundo Deportivo.

“Fake, fake,” the Inter CEO said in response to the rumours.
