Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu is close to joining Ligue 1 side Lorient on loan for the rest of the season.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the Romanian is on the verge of joining the French team, who will beat out the competition of Auxerre and Montpellier to sign him with the deal set to be done tomorrow.

Radu has been looking for a new club to join over the second half of the season, with the 25-year-old’s loan spell with Cremonese having come to a premature end due to his being out of the starting eleven for Marco Carnesecchi.

A number of clubs in Ligue 1 had expressed an interest in loaning in Radu during the January transfer window.

According to TMW, it is Lorient who have won the race for the Romanian’s signature, with the deal set to be all done to sign him as early as tomorrow.
