There are a number of possible locations and formats for the Supercoppa Italiana over the next few seasons.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that there are a number of possible options being discussed for the future of the competition ahead of tomorrow’s edition between Inter and AC Milan.

The Supercoppa tomorrow will be played in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and as things stand there is no agreement for the competition to be played in the country in future seasons.

However, there are talks between the Lega Serie A and the Saudi organizers for future editions of the competition to be held in the country.

Moreover, there are discussions over the possibility of expanding the format of the competition, so that it is a four-team mini-tournament similar to the Supercopa de Espana.

However, potential organizers in Hungary and the United Arab Emirates would also be interested in hosting the match starting next season, whilst it could also be held in Italy as it was last time around.
