Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana feels that if the team can play at their best then they are certainly capable of beating AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana this evening.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset ahead of the match, via FCInterNews, the 26-year-old said that he is not feeling any tension ahead of the match, his first opportunity to win a trophy with the Nerazzurri.

Inter face a pivotal early moment in their season against Milan this evening.

If the Nerazzurri can beat their city rivals, then they will defend their Supercoppa title from last season, in addition to potentially setting a positive tone for the rest of the season to come.

This could naturally lead to some stress and nerves on the part of the players.

However, for Onana’s part, the goalkeeper is focusing on the belief that if the team take the right approach then the match, and the Supercoppa title, are right there to be won.

Asked if there’s tension ahead of the match for him, the keeper replied “No, I’m very calm and I’m used to these kinds of matches.”

“We have to try to stay calm, follow the coach’s instructions.”

“If we play well, I’m convinced we’ll win.”

“I’m calm, I trust my teammates and if we play the way that we know how to then it will be a great evening for us,” he added.
