SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla believes that Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie is hoping to return to Serie A to join Inter.

Reporting in his column on SportItalia’s website, Pedulla explained that the 25-year-old former AC Milan midfielder is already hoping to come back to the Italian top flight in search of more playing time, and that his first choice would be the Nerazzurri.

Kessie has been linked with a move away from Barcelona despite having only joined the La Liga giants during the summer transfer window prior to this season.

The Ivorian has found playing time hard to comes by since making the switch to the Blaugranas on a free transfer from the Rossoneri.l

According to Pedulla, Kessie’s priority would be to return to Serie A.

The transfer market expert reports that the midfielder would be ready to reject other possible offers, as he feels that moving to his old team’s city rivals would be the best option for him at this stage.

“He wants to return to Italy,” Pedulla writes, “he’s chosen Inter and has set aside the other two or three offers that are available to him.”

“But it doesn’t just depend on him, even if his playing time in Catalonia is increasingly limited.”

“However, Marotta and Ausilio have not ruled out sacrificing Brozovic, who Barcelona had made a target before he decided to extend with Inter,” Pedulla explains.

“Franck is under no illusions, but is hoping to go to the other side of Milan.”
