Inter wingback Matteo Darmian is the favourite to start on the right for the Nerazzurri in this evening’s Supercoppa Italiana match against AC Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908, who report that the 33-year-old is ahead of Denzel Dumfries in what looks like Simone Inzaghi’s one remaining selection doubt.
Inzaghi has largely made up his mind on the Inter starting eleven for this evening’s clash, with the coach ready to start what he considers to be the strongest possible lineup available at the moment.
The coach has not fully made his decision regarding who will start on the right, with Dumfries still having a chance, but according to the Gazzetta he is leaning towards Darmian, who has started all of the three Serie A matches since the winter break.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report that Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko will start in attack, whilst Francesco Acerbi is set to start at the heart of the Nerazzurri’s back three rather than Stefan de Vrij.
