Cagliari are hoping to sign Inter midfielder Lucien Agoume on loan for the rest of the season.

This according to Italian news outlet Centrotrentuno.com, who report that the Serie B side could move in the next couple days to bring in the 20-year-old, who is currently on loan with Troyes in Ligue 1.

Agoume joined Troyes on loan during the summer transfer window, but so far the Frenchman’s time at the club has not gone as well as his loan spell with Brest last campaign had gone.

The 20-year-old has been restricted to just three appearances so far in the campaign, with injuries playing a factor in his lack of playing time.

Accordingly, it is far from impossible that Agoume could be recalled from his current loan move and then sent out on a different loan move during the January window.

According to Centrotrentuno, Cagliari are very keen to sign the 20-year-old for coach Claudio Ranieri.

The Rossoblu could push in the next couple of days to try and agree a deal to bring Agoume to Sardinia.
