Referee Antonio Rafuano has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Serie A clash with Empoli on Monday.

This is confirmed by an announcement by the Lega Serie A of the officiating crews for all of the fixtures for this matchday, as reported by FCInterNews.

Rapuano will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Alessio Berti and Mattia Scarpa.

Meanwhile, the role of fourth official will be filled by Matteo Marcenaro.

In the VAR booth, Luca Banti will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.

The role of assistant to Banti as the video assistant will be filled by Francesco Fourneau.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than on any officiating controversy.

The Nerazzurri are looking to build momentum from their league win over Hellas Verona over the last weekend.
